Young gun trainer Adam Durrant has won the inaugural Gigi’s On George “Performer of the week” following his brilliant training feat at Ascot last Saturday.
Durrant saddled up a trio of winners, made it a quinella in one race and collected the Group 3 Champion Fillies Stakes with Le Plunge, a former speedy two year old who improved immensely to score her upset win.
He also celebrated his 29th birthday on Saturday, so his sense of timing was spot-on!
His three winners on Saturday took his city seasonal tally to 43 for the season and established a commanding lead of 12 wins over his nearest rival Jimmy Taylor.
Durrant will collect a voucher for $100 to dine out with at Gigi’s On George, one of Perth’s best Tapas Restaurants nestled in the trendy George Street café strip in Fremantle.

Durrant continued on in hot form with a treble at Bunbury on Stakes day and will be the trainer to follow in the south west on Cup day.
